Financial bungling in the family-run NGO Dr
Zakir Husain Memorial Trust had been exposed in a sting operation last week and
hours
after his return from London, a combative Union Law Minister tried to counter
point by point the charges of misuse of funds by a trust headed by him.
As proof, the Union Law Minister (Who is also
an well known advocate) displayed photos of the occasion and related media
reports that the disabled persons had benefited. This was, however, immediately
disputed by a social activist, who said that the photos pertained to the
financial year 2010-11 and not to 2009-10, the year under consideration.
The Union Law Minister also presented one of
the beneficiaries, Rangi Mistry, from his constituency (The reporters, however, clarified that
Rangi Mistry, who works in a cold storage, was not 'stung', he made his
statement openly before the camera earlier) but for a Law Minister how
difficult it ‘ll be to get that statement is question?

A visibly shaken Union Law Minister, at one point, on camera asked the reporter
to "shut up" and “Their life is in danger” and “I will see you in
court”. He even took a jibe at the reporter saying he would repeat his answer
in Hindi in case the latter was unable to understand his replies in English.
Days later, a video has caught the minister hitting back at a
social activist as his supporters cheered. He dared the activist to go to his
constituency in Uttar Pradesh, suggesting it would be difficult
to return.

se bhi kaam karoonga lekin khoon se bhi kaam karoonga”
This is the language of criminals or of a union law minister??
